We welcome you to visit us! We want you to feel comfortable at Starting Grounds Church, so we’ve outlined what you can expect when you visit.

Parking.

There is ample parking surrounding the building. Additional overflow parking is available in the parking lot behind the hair salon directly next to the church (North side on Parkway).

Our People.

One word has always been used to describe Starting Grounds Church – friendly. Our people are committed to hospitality and generosity. When you visit, you will be sure to find people with smiling faces and open arms. If you’ve never been to church before, tell us. We want to be sure we take the time to answer all your questions or make you feel at home.

Service Times.

We currently have one service at 10:30 am

Children’s Church & Nursery.

Our goal is to teach children about the love of Jesus in an age-appropriate teaching style. Upon arrival, tell the greeters you are new and would like assistance with Children’s church.

Children’s Church Preschool – 4th Grade

Kids will join you in church for worship time (singing) and then be dismissed to class for a short Bible lesson with fun activities to follow. For more information, you can also view our Children’s Ministry page.

Kids are always welcome to sit with their parents and we have activity sheets and crayons for your little ones if needed.

All of our teachers have undergone background checks and are teamed up with a classroom partner-helper. Your child’s safety and security and is very important to us. If you have questions about the Children’s Church program, please don’t hesitate to ask a teacher or the Children’s Director.

Services.

Our services are relaxed, engaging and generally last about an hour. We open service with songs and prayer. Lyrics are projected on screens at the front of the sanctuary. Feel free to engage in this time in whatever manner you feel comfortable. After this time, we sit down for the sermon. Bible passages are also projected on the screens at the front of the sanctuary. Additionally, hard-copy Bibles are available if you would like to use one.

It is our goal that everyone feels comfortable in church. If you’ve never been to church or don’t know much about the Bible, it’s not a problem. All of us are learning, together, more about God and His love for us. No matter your background, we encourage you to attend a service and learn with us.

Teaching.

We are committed to teaching about a dynamic life changing experience with Jesus. We do this by teaching weekly from the Bible and connecting it to the practical aspects of daily life. Don’t know much about the Bible? Don’t worry. Our goal is to make each sermon easy to understand and meaningful to all people – regardless of their church experience. We typically live-stream our services on YouTube if you want to hear a sample of our teaching style.

Music.

Our music is a beautiful blend of new and old songs led from a large variety of instruments. Lyrics are projected onto the screens at the front of the sanctuary for you to sing along. Worship (singing) is meant for you open your heart towards God. Feel free to sing loud for all to hear; we believe singing to the Lord is a sign of love and respect to Him. You don’t have to be a great singer to participate.

What to Wear.

Come as you are. Most people come casually dressed just as you would see around town.
